Native YouTube A/B Testing API integration

One-click variant deployment, real-time CTR ingestion, and per-surface lift attribution.

We've shipped native integration with YouTube's A/B Testing API. As of today, every variant CloudRoad recommends can be deployed straight to YouTube's official test slot for the corresponding video, and CTR results flow back into the ranker without manual work.

01What it unlocks

Three things, in order of immediate impact:

  • Zero-touch test deployment. Approve a variant in CloudRoad, it goes live as the challenger in YouTube's A/B test. No screenshots, no copy-paste, no manual upload.
  • Real CTR, not estimated. The numbers in your CloudRoad dashboard are the same numbers YouTube Studio shows, by construction. They're pulled from the same API.
  • Per-surface lift attribution. YouTube exposes CTR by traffic source. The ranker decomposes lift the same way and shows you which surface a variant won on, which it lost, and what the weighted net was for your channel's specific traffic mix.

02How to enable

For existing beta users, the integration is on by default once you authorize the additional scope. Settings → Integrations → YouTube A/B → connect. Existing variants you'd already imported manually keep working; new ones go through the API path.

03What it doesn't do

For clarity: the integration handles A/B test ingestion and deployment. It does not publish your videos. CloudRoad never touches your upload pipeline, your scheduling, your monetization settings, or your channel art. Read-only on everything that isn't a test slot.
